After releasing the live-action versions of Luffy and Zoro from Netflix's "One Piece," Bandai's S.H.Figuarts series finally brings us the long-awaited Nami figure. However, the performance of this product has received criticism from some players.
This live-action version of Nami stands approximately 15cm tall and faithfully reproduces her appearance from the Netflix live-action TV series, wearing a blue and white top and a skirt. Overall, the fidelity to the original costume is acceptable. However, it's worth noting that this design is clearly inspired by the original anime, and when compared, the portrayal in the live-action version is somewhat lacking...
The head sculpt is undoubtedly the most concerning aspect. Leaving aside whether it looks beautiful or not, in terms of resemblance, I personally think it's done decently, capturing some of the actress's facial features. Interestingly, some players feel that this head sculpt resembles Ron Weasley from the "Harry Potter" movies, and you know what? Comparing the two, there's definitely some resemblance!
In addition to the weapon props held in her hands, Nami comes with 4 pairs of interchangeable hand parts. Surprisingly, the product also includes replacement facial expressions for Luffy. I must say, the sculpting of Luffy's face is quite good, and there are no major issues with the fidelity or expression. Furthermore, there's an alternate live-action version of Zoro's head sculpt included, featuring him wearing a headband. Although the fidelity and accessories of this product are acceptable, personally, I'm not very interested in this live-action version. This product is being released through online retail channels and is expected to be available in August 2024.
Speaking of which, I'm more excited about Bandai's new anime version there's definitely some resemblance Nami than this live-action version.
